About me

🏒 Experience

I am a co-founder and CTO at Sunscrapers, the software consultancy company. I have more than a decade behind my back delivering data-intensive systems and cloud applications, building teams and providing technical guidance. Under my supervision Sunscrapers delivered more than 250 projects for clients from all over the world, though mostly US.

Even though I spend a significant amount of time on all aspects of running my company, I still love crafting code on my own and build things with a hands-on approach. When it comes to programming languages Python is my favorite choice, next to Go and TypeScript.

🌳 Personal

I’m proud to be a father of two, the husband for my wife Ola πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§β€πŸ‘¦ and the human for my dog Haps πŸ•. I live in Warsaw, Poland. I moved here from Lublin for studies at Warsaw University of Technology, and it seems I settled here for life.

I enjoy traveling, especially with my family. I love tinkering πŸͺ› and practicing sports such as kitesurfing πŸͺπŸ„, swimming 🏊, tennis 🎾 and team games βš½οΈπŸ€.

🌱 Communities

Most of what I achieved in my life is thanks to open source and people behind it. My first step to really understand programming and computer networks was installing Slackware Linux. I was in middle school at that time. Years later, every project we work on at Sunscrapers is significantly backed by open source technologies.

That is why I always feel obligated to pay back to the open source world and its communities.

I actively co-organize Python User Group in Warsaw, calledΒ PyWaw, which I co-founded in 2011. Over the years I was involved in organizing conferences like PyWaw Summit and Makerland. Recently, I was a programme committee member at Data Science Summit responsible for the Python track.

πŸ’Ό Consultancy

There are many ways I can help, from a code audit for a due diligence process, through building and leading the team, to finally creating a PoC or even production application. I may also solve scaling issues, improve the software architecture or transition the legacy code to the modern one.

The best way to start working together is to contact through Sunscrapers as these requests are handled really fast. Alternatively, reach out to me directly but the delayed response is highly possible.

πŸ—£οΈ Talks

I used to be a frequent speaker at various meetups and conferences. I am always open to new opportunities to share my knowledge and experience. If you are interested in having me as a speaker at your event, please reach out to me directly. Some of my old slides are available online as well as even older ones.
